"The Doctors Apprentice" Starring Dawaun Parker
Mixed By DJ JayCeeOh

Those who still buy CD's and read liner notes are already familiar with the name Dawaun Parker. Considered throughout industry circles as one of Dr. Dre's secret weapons, Parker has spent the past six years under the radar. Taking the humble route, Dawaun has quietly built his resumé to the tune of over 13 million records sold and 3 Grammys. As a part of the tight knit Aftermath production team, Dawaun has produced and written for some of the biggest names in the genre. He co-produced numerous tracks on Eminem's "Relapse", including the grammy winning #1 single, "Crack A Bottle", as well as penning music on Snoop Dogg's "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment", Busta Rhymes' "The Big Bang", 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Trying" Soundtrack, Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come" , and most recently Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City”.

For the release of "The Doctor's Apprentice", Parker teamed up with mixtape mastermind DJ JayCeeOh (of VH1’s Master Of The Mix & Super 7 Creator ), to put together Parker's extensive catalog as an 'audible resumé'. "Apprentice", is a fitting introduction for those unaware of D-Park's discography, and a great mix for those who are already fans. Also featured is "Lost", the first offering from D-Park's forthcoming debut EP, "The Decision", which was co-produced by Dr. Dre. "The Doctor's Apprentice" is a one-of-a-kind mix; a glimpse into the beginnings of a multi-platinum, Grammy award winning musician, growing into a full fledged producer/artist. After absorbing the body of work it is undeniable to credit D-Park as one of the best, most slept-on producers in the game. Aiming for the path of greats like J Dilla, Kanye West and Dawaun's mentor Dr. Dre, Parker is without doubt a person you need to keep your eyes and ears on for years to come.
