Daz Dillinger Claims GTA V Used Two Of His Tracks Without Permission

Daz Dillinger writes a cease & desist letter to the makers of Grand Theft Auto V for using two of his songs in the video game without his permission.

Daz Dillinger has some beef with the new video game Grand Theft Auto V. Daz filed a cease & desist letter to the makers of GTA V, for allegedly using his music in the video game without the rapper’s permission.

Daz says in the letter to Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games, he was offered $4,271.00 for two tracks, ”C-Walk” and “Nothin’ But the Cavi Hit.” In his letter Daz calls the amount “offensively low” and thus he turned them down. However, the two songs still found their way into the game’s soundtrack.

So now Daz and his attorney are asking the makers of the record-breaking game give him a better offer or recall and destroy all unsold copies of the game. Daz said to TMZ it’s about ”respecting an artist’s work. Rockstar didn’t do that here and I can’t let them get away with it.”

The former Dogg Pound rapper is giving GTA V 14 days to make him a better offer or recall the games.

Are you serious? Music is that man's life. They basically robbed him and that's messed up.

I hope he get's a good amount of money because Rockstar caked off of sales and everybody knows that GTA is a money maker that plays up their radio stations having dope music especially after GTA: Vice City.

There’s no other explanation for a BLATANT disregard of wishes like that. Dude told them no and they basically ignored him (and quite frankly, that offer WAS insulting…..you fakkits knew y’all was gon’ make several million off this game and you offer this nikka peanuts? FOH)
