fukk these gentrifying crackers. I live in Noma like 2 mins from the video and these cacs don’t even be in the bike lane half the time, darting in and out of traffic like they on a motorcycle.
I was at Far East Taco with my hazards on pulled over and this white lady pulls up on her bike like “excuse me you’re in the bike lane”

See, this is why I respectfully can't spend too much time in DC. There's wayyyyy too many white folks in DC now from Kansas, Michigan, or wherever the hell they coming from that bring that sense of entitlement with them

This is why hate diving in my own city. Both were wrong. The cyclist shouldn't have banged on their car, the motorists shouldn't be parked in a bike lane. Have I disobeyed signs and parked were I shouldn't have, yes. Have I tried to justify it and get belligerent when I'm clearly wrong, no.
The driver could've avoided this all-together by parking in on multi-lane street/not blocking cyclist or pedestrians. If I were the cyclist, I would've just went around if no traffic was coming. Yes the driver was 10000% wrong but it's not worth the hassle

It's not about privilege, it's about common sense. If you wanna bring up sensibilities, don't block bike lanes etc in the first place. Why tf would anyone block a bike lane then GET MAD when called out about it? I'm not gonna act like white people in the city don't do the most but I'd be mad too if the person who is clearly wrong turned their bs back on me. What I wouldn't do is cause a scene if I'm not prepared to die. Yes that's an extreme way of thinking but these days it's a possibility
Call the police, parking enforcement, or go around. Simple solutions that don’t require all of that.

Something that happens often is the light turning green and someone just sitting there for whatever reason. They’re wrong. But that doesn’t mean that you can hit their bumper cause they didn’t go. That’s essentially what this cac did. Despite how pissed we may be, you and I would blow our horn, easily go around and maybe yell out the window. Because common sense. But ignorance and privilege alike will have someone ram the back of that car or get out and bang on the windows/hood.

Damn damn damn. This is wild. I used to live here. They've made M Street a complete pain in the ass to drive on the past few years.
They commandeered damn near half of the street for bike lanes which is annoying af. This makes it extremely inconvenient for quick pickup/drop-off type services in that area because there's literally nowhere to pull over
That white privilege is something else though. White boy was extremely lucky.
