The story mode from the games is cinematic enough for me but I’m not gonna hate on an animated adaptation
as stated above, Kingdom Come and Knightfall are long overdo

If they aren't going to do a movie universe this time as they did previously, then they might as well do those type of adaptations.
It would probably be too expensive to get the OG actors to return and voice the characters.
