My first impression. Way too left field for me :yeshrug:
I do like the track with David Brune and the one with Damon Albarn though :yeshrug:
I'm going to sit with it a while and see what happens. :manny:

I got half way through it before I got interrupted... like what I'm hearing so far imo. Gonna give it a full spin in the headphones on the next move

I got my CD on Wednesday. Here's my thoughts after a few listens:

The most interesting thing about this album is the way it was recorded: De La recorded 200 hours of jamming from their backup band the Rhythm Roots Allstars, then sampled from that to create the musical backdrop for them to rap over. Even when compared to the rest of their eclectic catalogue, it's still pretty avant-garde. I've already seen some people put it down because it isn't as streamlined and straightforward as "The Grind Date." But personally, I really enjoyed it.

Final rating: 4 Stars (out of 5)

My biggest point with this album is that I'd rather see the guitar solo cut out in favor of Drawn being 3 minutes longer. I don't like guitar solo's. Other than, excellent album I guess. I don't get the lack of cohesiveness critisism either.
