Huge huge huge De La fan.. still bump and study their old sh*t especially the first two albums to this very day.. But hate to say it, this new album is not the move at all. They said they recorded hours upon hours of live played music but where is it? Why are the drums so soft and muted? Live instruments are the sh*t when done right in hip hop but to keep it 100 De La is golden over samples.. and yes you can make live played music sound like samples. Loop some of the played music they recorded and put some harder drums in for starters. Sequence it up into intro, verse, chorus, verse and so forth.. They should've just rapped over the live music they recorded and stuck to that and make sure the mixdowns are clean and crispy. I bought the album to support but it has no replay value at all imo
Any way to see this without tidal?New video for drawn on tidal.
