De La Soul vs Tribe Called Quest, who you got?

I would vote Tribe too, but how are De La's 4 first albums not classics???

Utter Crack. It's just that Tribe got Low End Theory, which gives them the edge to me...

I don't think you could go wrong choosing either group...but I'm gonna go with Tribe. Their catalog is slightly stronger IMO, their influence on other artist seems to be more prevalent too.

Interestingly, De La has outlasted Tribe career wise

De La has some songs here and there that I like, but even then I mainly fukk with those songs for the production(Breakadawn, Stakes is High, etc).


The more I pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, the less I enjoy them.
