federal workers lose paychecks due to shutdown that's about not wanting to fund a wall, that doesn't hurt federal workers or other citizens

There was no deal met. There is no agreeement to fund the wall. Trump is just folding for these 3 weeks.

And I have zero sympathy for the federal workers. I feel for the federal contractors. Most aren’t getting any fukking back pay. There were plenty of federal workers who weren’t even working during this time but will still be paid.

The underlined has been so lost amid all of this ... they often would be in the red for the fiscal year if it weren’t for those fed contracts ...

A majority of Americans place the blame for the record-long partial government shutdown at President Trump and congressional Republicans’ feet, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll published Friday.

About 58 percent of Americans disapprove of the job Trump is doing, while 37 percent approve, marking a 5 percent uptick in the president’s disapproval rating since the same poll in November, which was released just before Democrats won the majority in the House of Representatives
