I really don't like this personally. Donovan is NOT that guy for this package. Complete fleece
It’s not too bad in my opinion.

-We have plenty of picks even if we give up 5 we still have more.
-Grimes has solid 3&D potential and will likely be a 10 year pro.
-Fournier is a player we would like to get rid of.
-Quickley becomes expendable with Brunson and Mitchell locked in the backcourt. I am hoping it is him and not Obi traded because I still want Obi to usurp Randle.

Donovan is an absolute turnstile on defense and the brunt of the jazz failing was put all on Gobert. I like Donovan but grimes, iq, AND toppin along with 4 picks? Are you fukking kidding me
Because Gobert largely deserved it.

Particularly the Jazz blowing a 2-0 lead to the Clippers in a series Mitchell played out of his mind.

This issue is that's still way too many assets for a guy who has been proven to not be that guy, just save it for when it's for someone who is.

Gobert is just overpaid, he was holding the paint down and had to over compensate because his team mates couldn't keep their man in front of themselves. Dropping 50 doesn't mean much when your man drops 30 consistently and your team mates have to over defend for you.

This trade will not age well if they give all this up for me

Problem with that is that "someone" may never come and those assets have time limits. Whether it be extensions to the younger players or eventually having to use those draft picks. We saw what happened with Boston and all those draft picks they accumulated. They never traded them and drafted marginal players.
