Snowfall isn't the Ricky Ross story. They reached out to Rick before the show started and Rick didn't wanna take the payment they were offering for his story. So John created the story that we ended up seeing.

John Singleton is a hollywood cappin ass nikka. He took Freeways story, and changed up a few things in order to sell it to a network and maintain plausible deniability. Then lied about having a friend who just so happened to also have a cia coke plug.
Anyone that doesnt understand that Franklins story and the premise of the damn show is pretty much based off of Freeway Rick Ross has zero critical thinking ability.

Right. I mentioned it but I didn't go into full detail about Danillo Blandon. Franklin is dealing directly with the C.I.A. Also Franklin is a boy genius raised by black panthers who wanted to buy his way into the 1 percent/high society, while Rick was illiterate until he was in his 30s. Does Snowfall have some elements of Ross's story? Of course. But nothing that probably couldn't be applied to any of the kingpins that were active at the same time as Rick.His connects connect was a CIA protected drug dealer
