I need to see a video of the crowd singing along with Layzie with that level of excitement 30 years later. Thats what I mean by potent.
You will never see that unless its a slower Kryzie verse. You know that too. lol

Here you go

- BG was Cashmoney’s flagship artist pre universal deal
- Juvenile was Cashmoney’s flagship artist post universal deal
- Lil Wayne became Cashmoney’s overall flagship artist and helped rebuild the label

This is pretty much it. What other group had 3 members as flagship artists.

Everyone knew Turk was up next too.

if someone knows more Turk verses than Ren verses from the 2 NWA albums, I'm gonna tell them to "get the fuk out my face" if they're trying to kick some knowledge about hip hop. That shyt makes no sense to give a history lesson and not know any Ren verses from SOC or N4L

its a preference thing of course. However its no debate when an artist is able to cut through and leave a mark on society. Thats what I meant about potent. A few posts back dude brought up the fact that 3/4 Hot Boys were flagship artists. Ren wasnt a flagship artist. Eazy could not put a label behind him because he did not have songs that left a mark.

BG, Wayne, Juvenile AND Turk all had what it took be flagship artists. No debate.

He was even able to make an impact away from Cash Money solidifying his position

Hot Boys, as a group, were so influential that only ONE of their songs was good enough to be performed at a Verzuz:russ:

Are we talking about just rap? Even then they wouldn't be #1. The biggest issue is the only two with any real longevity were Wayne and Juvenile.
