I feel like the lox was always a solid 7. A consistant career but never reached the heights of other grouos. Mobb peaked at 9.5 and down to 8 until 03. They have highs of 8 but lows of 6 at times. 2nd fav group tho.

Lox albums are good. They like murda musik level

Theres no infamous or hell on warth tho

I like and respect all three lox MCs, especially as solo artists.

But, in my opinion, this contest was over the second the lox put on shiny suits and rapped over a Rod Stewart track for puff daddy.

Plus mobb deep is just better. Can't even believe this question is being asked. But hey. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Yes, culturally and originally lox did hurt themselves being jiggy.
Yet their return from the sellout side was welled in at least confronting publically who and what was the issue.
Plus, after that I would say they rebolstered their cultural standing.
When most typically and usually fail.
Mobb deep, originally started out as what if luke was illegal.
Sohh,...
They also started out on the wrong foot.
till qtip added the cultural cosign to bring them out of sellout based hell as well.

So, both groups in their debut were culturally outta there before rebolstering their cultural standings.

So you really can't use cultural standing to disqualify either in this comparison.
as both started out as sellout groups in their debut.

If we're talking as an actual group then Mobb >>>>>>> by a wide margin. Infamous and Hell on Earth are both 5 Mic classics - LOX haven't released anything on that level as a group. LOX never really reached their potential as a group to be honest, too many label politics and no real solo album for how long? We Are The Streets aged pretty badly as well.

Solo albums Lox probably have it but you can't discount HNIC, Return of The Mac and Albert Einstein either, and Havoc has been dropping some fire the last few years.

That song fukk U may be one of the hardest leadoff tracks ever.
