According to the Wrestling Observer, top TNA star Bobby Lashley has been pulled from at least one upcoming independent appearance as a result of TNA recently raising his outside booking fee.

Lashley was reportedly pulled from an upcoming tournament promoted by Lucha Libre Elite in Mexico, and the report adds TNA is now charging promotions $6,000 per appearance to book Lashley which is much more than he was previously charging. Lashley has reportedly lost at least two more bookings since TNA took over the duties and raised his fee.

It should be noted that talents who agree to this type of deal with TNA typically get a much higher per year salary, and TNA makes that money back by booking the talents out to other promotions.

That deal they have is more complicated than it needs to be. Why have a minimum fee that people aren't willing to pay? Why would i expect this moronic woman to understand basic supply and demand

Anyway, doesn't TNA keep the indie money since they're overpaying him? Ithink in the Observer when these deals started, that's what they said. Lashley just gets to stay home and gets paid the same

all i know is... it says a lot that lashley will never return to WWE it seems. i find it hard to believe that they don't want him. i also find it hard to believe that tna is paying him anything crazy good. although if the 75k number for a few dates a year is real.. that's not bad if you think about it. he's actually a great wrestler now. like really good. i feel like wwe has to want him back. he has more dignity than most since i doubt they are offering him less than tna tbh.

There's no way Lashley is only getting 75k. Need source on that. NXT guys with no leverage get 52k to be in the peformance center.

The indie booking fees are used to pay the guarantees on contracts.

TNA has taken control of Bobby Lashley's independent bookings, and it may have resulted in at least one cancellation.

Lashley has reportedly been pulled from an upcoming tournament promoted by Lucha Libre Elite in Mexico. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that TNA's new deal with Lashley gives them control of his bookings, and they've raised his price. TNA is reportedly now charging $6,000 USD to book Lashley, which is a lot higher than what Lashley was charging before.

Lashley still gets paid the full amount in his TNA contract whether his appearances are cancelled or not.
He's reportedly lost at least two more bookings since TNA took over the duties and raised his fee.

TNA's business model here is to offer talent a higher dollar amount on their contracts, then make it back by booking the talent out to independent promotions. In the case of new TNA signee Moose for example, TNA is expected to book him for 110 non-TNA dates over the next year.
Lets not leave them details out:sas2:
