Breh had a thread about next generation slavery, they don't need chains to do the same thing.
I've been thinking about this this past few days after I sent in my last payment on my vehicle. It's like that like that line from Fight Club. The stuff you own owns you. Just got one vehicle paid off and instead of focusing on the rest of my debt, I'm already dreaming about the next ride.
Wouldn't take much of a push to get me back into a dealership either
Where we fukk up as a people is we take on a lot of bad debt (credit cards, vehicles, etc.), but we aren't holding onto our assets and building up generational wealth. We just let the Man bleed us like mosquitos with a little payment here and a little payment there. Making minimum payments and staying under high balances. Thinking that $50 ain't all that much, but add $50 on top of $100 and keep going pretty soon you're giving up a lot of your paycheck to bullshyt shine. Every month, every year, same fukkery
White people don't sell shyt for nothing. They hold onto it until the price makes them sell. We sell for a flashy ride. My sister and dad both do that shyt. My sister was just sweating to sell an old house her in-laws were going to give her and her husband to live in. But once they smelled the fukkery they decided to keep it in their name. And I don't blame them.
It's going to be hard, but I'm going to try to stick to paying off all debts no new stupid shyt for 3 years. Get everything paid off and start investing on a bigger scale. I've said shyt like this before though, but after seeing how much I've got back in my pocket every month hope that's a real wakeup call.

I use credit cards strategically.
