in the orthodox side, when a body doesnt decompose and is incorruptible it is believed to be a sign of divine grace from God

meaning that God still watches over the remains of the body. This is the logic behind the many relics throughout antiquity. Sometimes it seems alittle extra to me but im not the one collecting them either
