That Styles album was one of my most anticipated ever, when I was 16, I bought that at Target the morning it was released...I remember the 'My Life' video was getting play like a year before, right? It was on some other album. 'A Gangster and a Gentlemen' was one of the defining albums that summer, I wore that shyt out, the title track was so ill..It ran a little long, but it was a 4/5 album, easy. Styles verses cut too deep now...

'Run around hustling scared of the feds...they say death is eternal sleep but are you prepared for the bed'?

This was the beginning of Styles P reinventing himself as a hood backpacker. He went on to produce some real dope intellectual street sht after this. Especially the ghost and shell mixtape. I was stannin this cat heavy during high school.

At the same time this song was out, G Rap had a song with the same name out. And I kind of felt that they took shine away from each other.

That beat :ohlawd:

Them verses :whoo:

That hook :wow:

Great song, I remember when it dropped it was kind of a collab b/w street and underground with Talib and them in the video...guess the whole Soundbombing project was too.

What happened to Styles? Last I heard him was on some Jedi Mind Tricks song years ago sounding like a totally different dude.
