not references. it should say IF you know someone in the company that can pull strings(hiring manager, HR, etc.) then that will trump experience and the degree.
exactly.Having a degree gives you . you can have no experience but if you got let's say a masters in a field that is somewhat similar you will still get hired while with experience some jobs are now requiring degrees regardless to if u been on the job for years.
Well, a masters degree says that you have competent research, reading, writing, critical thinking, strong communication and presentation skills beyond what a bachelors would do. Plus you're expected to have a certain level of experience in your field of study.exactly.
they say 5 years of experience plus a bs/ba degree or 2 years exp with a masters. which makes absolutely no sense if you really want to get people to do a great job at the position. i know good and well a ton of people with masters degrees are not better workers than someone with a BA/BS or even just a high school diploma that has worked in the field for 5+ years and is very good at it. that masters person is not a better fit. but these companies hire them first like they are.
