maybe it's a NY thing, but why do grown men expect other grown men to look out for them? I've always had the mentality of if my foot is in the door, I'm trying to do my own thing with the connections and relationships I built along the way. I saw an interview a while back with Scott La rock's son acting like KRS owes him something. This is a grown man in his 30s depending on another grown man to take care of him.
In life and business, it'salways a favor or a favor, and someone always has to open the door, and someone else has to make the sacrifices to prop you up so tht you're able to get through. Everyone says when they make it big, thy will take care of their family (to a extent)? Why do that if you got to where you got on your own?
Using your own argument, why would the connections and relationship you built come to you for anything? Establishing that from the gate means that you hope to be provided a fruitful opportunity. And you are also the same connection/relationships to other people. everyone needs someone higher to grant them the opportunity to place them in position to prosper.

Both signed deals with other labels cause they were "standup guys" who didn't wanna be signed to Jay.
Jaz even aligned himself with Jays enemies, but is now signed to the Roc.
And they believe Dehaven snitched, as he was the ring leader but got basically no time when Emory got 15 or something
One thing people need to ask DeHaven is if they are still as close with all their friends from their childhood, high school, every friend they hustled with and on. Or is this just something we should demand from the most successful people

If you are one of my best friends and we didn't have a fall out or anything like that and I get my hands on 50/100/500 million dollars you are definitely getting a nice fat one time bag and I'm going to make sure I give you all the opportunity you need to utilize whatever talents you already have or you obtain after to start/maintain your own career and prosper. If you crash and burn that's on you but I'll always try to make sure you're working, as long I see that you actually are and doing a good job. To me it's weird not to be on it like that...how you have 1 billion dollars and don't help out your best friends when they need a little help? That's crazy. Don't be nobody's ATM ever, but lend your influence to create opportunities man, somethin,.
