I love deion but you can't generalize all current athletes like that. Look at old man lebron working his way to a billie still playing at an mvp level. Look at Justin Fields last night after that vicious hit. He could barely climb on the bike and grimaced after every throw and still played lights out. Don't tell me that young man doesn't love the game!

He’s right. Same with hip hop. Brehs just like it enough in that it can put some money in their pockets.

You can say the same thing about some athletes from Deion's generation. It's a lucrative job, there are bound to be some athletes who are only into it for the money. Deion just being old and cranky.

It sounds like a bunch of “my era” was the best stuff we hear from athletes all the time.

I’m :flabbynsick: and like certain eras of basketball and football more in the past, but it has little to do with players now being soft. Some of the rule changes I don’t like, but that’s not the players’ faults.

There were plenty of players back then with reputations for not loving their sport and only liking it enough to make a paycheck. Such as Joe B. Carroll (aka Joe Barely Cares) or Derrick “Whoopty Damn Do” Coleman. They had an SI article about Coleman and other NBA players back in the mid 90s, the sentiment was the same. “Today’s players are spoiled prima donnas, they’ve been spoiled with millions, they don’t love the sport, etc.....”

This is the element I hate about sports. Muh'fukkas always trying to bring down the current generation.
it's not out of concern for the modern athlete or even the game, it's for their own ego. if you are a great from a "better" era then how can a great from this era even be compared to you?

Ain’t nothing wrong with being a mommas boy :mjcry:

He right tho. Sports is wack now. The nba might legit fold post Lebron cause these new nikkas is boring to watch.

Sports exist outside out the NBA. What did he say about LeBron or the NBA?
