Awesome Contraption Turning PS Vita TV Into 7 Inches Portable Console Delayed in Japan
Quite a while ago, the Japanese manufacturer Gametech announced Dekavita 7, a rather interesting contraption turning a PS Vita TV (or PlayStation TV like it’s named in the west) into a portable console with L2 and R2 triggers, clickable L3 and L4 analog sticks and a large 7 inches IPS screen.
The device works by plugging your PS Vita TV into the back, and then it’s basically a bigger PS Vita with the usual limitations of its non-portable counterpart (lack of touch controls).
The Dekavita 7 was supposed to be released in Japan this month, but Gametech just announced that since the final adjustments are taking more time than expected, it will now launch on September 17th.
The Dekavita 7 comes with an early bird pricetag of 19,800 yen (plus tax), which translates to 160 bucks.
While there are no news about a western release, I’ll be in Japan when this will release, so i’ll try my best to check it out for you and let you know how it works.
