But Africans willfully captured their own people and sold them out into slavery

what do you mean by this? If you mean black people when you say "their own people" then you're looking at it wrong, you need to remember that africa is full of different ethnic groups and they have never united under the name 'black'. I've heard someone say that Ghezo sold some of his own subjects but I don't know if it's true.

no matter how you slice it, this is some hoe ass shyt.
eh, not really, they were selling slaves, this wasnt anything new.

Besides this I haven't really heard much about Africans trying to reunite or build any relationship with Black Americans.

re-unite with black americans for what?

On the contrary it almost feels like they look down on us.
Some do, usually because we are the descendants of slaves or because we live in a first world country and haven't accomplished much.

But Egyptians don't even consider themselves black or even African.
I believe most north Africans(including Egyptians) consider themselves african, but you're right in saying they don't consider themselves black.

They identify with Egypt but kind of shun the rest of Africa especially sub saharan "dark-skinned" africans
Yea, it's kinda sad.
