Either way he goes on the issue he could lose a large portion of his supporters.
That's the issue that get's me worried the most each debate/forum.
And imo it's a legitimate complaint against him either way from where you stand, unlike this railing against Bernie on race.
i agree. thats why im hoping hes at least clear and articulate..regardless of his stance. hes great in most other talking points but hasnt seemed to have been able to find that concise answer of "my constituency would vastly change, my ideals would not, and the first and foremost of my ideals as an elected official is to represent the views of my constituency. the numbers show that some reform is needed and i would work with my colleagues to do so, just like the other candidates you will hear from tonight. and with all due respect to secretary clinton, my favorability numbers, both within the democratic party and nationally, are quite strong and theres no reason to suggest house republicans would work with secretary clinton but not me as well. and if there is a gridlock and they refuse to work with me, then i will use the powers vested in me as President to make the executive decision or give the states and municipalities, the working people, more say in their own local laws"
