Ohio State fans know this already, but nationally I'm sure many of you will try to come this thread and try to say I'm wrong lol. This will become an annual bump thread because Denzel is essentially that good.

For the record, Lattimore was a solidly good CB prospect but Denzel is absolutely elite and is the significantly better technician, athlete and lesser injury risk.

Denzel:

Height - 5'11
40 - 4.32
10-yard split - 1.47
Arm - 31 1/4
Broad - 11'4
Bench - 16

Lattimore:

Height - 6'0
40 - 4.36
10-yard split - 1.48
Arm - 31 1/4
Broad - 11'0
Bench - DNP

- Lattimore is marginally taller but Denzel is stronger, faster and has better change of direction skills.

If you watch the tape of both players in their draft year, this really isn't all that controversial of an opinion. Ward will prove himself rather quickly. Browns start the season against Pittsburgh and I expect him to hold Antonio Brown to less than 60 yards in that game.

***EDIT

I've added the 2016 Oklahoma vs Ohio State game as PROOF to the thread topic.

Both Lattimore and Conley started the game but after Conley got hurt in the 1st quarter, Denzel came in and played most of his snaps versus Dede Westbrooke, who won the Biletnikoff Award that year.

AND DENZEL SHUT HIS ASS DOWN.

Two INTs + a red zone sack were the direct result of Mayfield wanting to throw to Westbrooke + Andrews but Ward allowed zero room to even attempt a throw. That included the Lattimore INT where Mayfield threw across the field but really wanted to throw to Dede on a comback route but Ward was like naaah.

In this game Westbrooke was 22.10 years old and Ward was 19.5

That's a 3.5 year difference, folks.

Meanwhile Lattimore got burnt against a back up WR on a simple go route.

I'm just saying... if you come at me, come with facts baes.

You expect a rookie in his 1st game to shut AB down
