So because someone else is being illogical and retarded, it justifies an argument to be just as illogical and retarded.

We can selectively criticize illogic and stupidity whether it comes from the right or left. And there's no need for the "y'all", I'm not representative of some hivemind.

The fact is that there is manipulation on both ends. BLM was and is a honeypot by George Soros and big money individuals to stir up division and influence political policy. That is undisputable fact.

I don't think it's a terrorist organization, but there are certainly extremists within the movement or splinter cells within the movement that are extremists, but this goes for any group.

I don't think indicting people that are for rational change is good at all, but BLM is in of itself a honeypot and controlled opposition.

That's exactly what I'm saying. This is the dumbing down of America. Nobody is objective anymore. Holding yourself to some arbitrary higher moral standard only weakens you.

It's scary how we are running out of positive non c00n black entertainers.
:jbhmm: Are we talking about this new way of calling people you disagree with c00ns, that's really sambos or is it re-enforcing negative stereotypes of black people type of c00n?

I try to be objective, but I personally feel that true objectivism is impossible because we all have natural biases and pre-conceived ideas. This is why I have no problem with news outlets or platforms that are overt about their leanings or biases. To me, our media would be in a great place if we the consumer could actually cross-examine everything.

Transparency is important.

Look at the people who own these networks and newspapers.

Journalism, literature and reporting has always skewed and full of shyt. They'll never tell the real full truth on important issues

Keep in mind that what he's saying has been the problem for 500+ years.

People may think it's social media, but the real problem is people are dumb:

Guess we're off topic but AMAZING.

This sums up what we just saw (MAGAzzwipes winning) and I bet Don Cheeto gonna play dumb when his minions do his bidding for the next *gag* four years.

And just like with Chapelle, look at how slick the Right is in thinking that what Denzel said is in line with their ideology:comeon:

Its not but they'll right it and then the easily triggered left will start dissing these black men like they arent what they said isnt the very bullshyt that Fox News did here below

That video I posted was really eye-opening to me.

It comes down to people knowing better and still not doing better, because "I don't wanna." The media knows how people think and their overall psychology en mass, that's their business. They have an astonishing amount of data (updated daily) that track viewing patterns and general public interest.

I'll again post these comment I found from reddit during a discussion about Trump (this is relevant to OP's video and Denzel's statements as well). It's really all connected as the "why" things are the way that they are:
"Trump won't help you if he's elected."

"Nuh-uh he will MAGA."

"He wants to take away your overtime pay."

"This is why he won cuz y'all liberal elite talk down to us!"

"fukking dumb shyt..."

Repeat ad nauseam.

Seriously. It's sad that this isn't an exaggeration. But funny that the people making fun of "safe spaces", political correctness, and are, now, calling people "special snowflakes" and telling them to "suck it up, buttercup" because Hillary supporters are mad she lost.....

These are the same people who were proudly saying "waaaahhhh, we voted for Trump because da libruhls called us mean names" on election night

One of the absolute greatest posts I've ever read as on the internet:
I've been consistently reminded over the past couple weeks that our biggest problem is the inability to call ignorance what it is, ignorance. The culprit is the "Fair & Balanced" mentality that news has been pushing for decades now.

They operate under the idea that both sides have opinions and both opinions are equal and deserve to be heard. This is horribly false. My opinions of Sanskrit translations and the Ancient Indian Studies professor from Harvard's opinion of the same translation are far from equal.......and the news should call it like it is in situations like that.

Unfortunately, we now have a very large group of people who are convinced that their opinion is just as valid as their opponents' facts because every argument has two equal sides. If you try to show them an educated, scientific, or logical argument opposing their views, you are suddenly a condescending elitist who doesn't respect their opinion.

The problem I have is that there is no bridge to build and no potential pathway between two people like this who try to engage is friendly discourse. One side will try to offer facts, history, and accepted studies based on years of findings in order to prove their view. The other goes by the feelings in their hearts, the opinions of a not-so-news organization (which then get repeated as fact by the news show that comes on after the opinion show and then gets repeated by blogs who don't check the faux-fact), and the demand for intellectual respect despite not actually researching the topic in any real sense.

If you can't call call out someone for being ignorant without offending them, and I see nothing wrong with ignorance in itself, mind you, then how can you possibly reach a common ground?

Edit: Inb4 someone starts calling me out for my "arrogance" being literally the reason they voted for Trump. For the record, I will benefit monetarily from a Trump presidency. I don't think it's going to take long for most of the people who voted for him to recognize their situation is getting worse, regardless of who they blame for it, and that makes me sad.

You put that all together along with the video I posted, then when you watch, read, and listen to things like what Denzel is saying in the OP's video and it becomes clear to see why the state of the world is the way it is. This isn't the first time anyone has said it and won't be the last.

Again, same thing has been going on for centuries and is just how society works.

Ideally we know or want it to be a certain way, but reality of it is, it just isn't that way.
