Man that used to be our cue for all types of fukkery cuz we could ve damn sure my granny was sleep by then and we knew we had until 7 a.m. for some world class fukkery for 10-14yr olds ....lived in the burbs from 88-92 then and the shyt whiteboys do and get away with on some "boys will be boys" shyt is crazy once we moved to the hood I immediately knew that shyt don't fly over here and u will be shot or arrested for anything white boys consider "fun"

I think is early millenials remember it more. That practice stopped in the mid 90s.

They would usually play the star spangled banner with some patriotic images and a voice saying "we are signing off."

Born in 81, I had cable and Nick at night ran ALL NIGHT, watching black in white reruns like patty duke an Lucy.

I didn't think anything of it as a kid but the movie Poltergeist changed how I viewed the TV going static forever. Luckily I was grown when I saw it because I would've been freaked out as a youngster

I saw this happen in Toy Story 2 when I was little and was confused af about it cuz I never saw the TV do that
