He turns 38 tomorrow, not sure how much longer he can play SS a lot of days in a row. Sooner or later the Yankees have to build someone for when he retires.
#2 still doing it after 18 years...and, as far as we know, doing it clean.
It must hurt extra for all those who took PEDs--to prolong their careers, better their numbers, and improve their play--to see Jeter stunting the way he is at the ripe age of 37.
Playing in this era and performing the way he has will only enhance his legacy once he decides to hang up his cleats.
look at the numbers, Jeter will probably be less than 1,000 away after this season is over..he's have to hit 200 a year for the next 5 years, but it's not impossible..
