His excuse is that DW wants to play. But who gives a fukk, the job of a coach is to coach your players and lead them. You do not let a true freshman play on a torn ACL. He wasn't going full speed yesterday and that is putting yourself at risk. And @The God Poster talm bout black excellence. Hell DW is the best true freshman black QB I have EVER seen. This kid could potentially be an NFL hall of famer, so why is he risking that right now for a fukking dabo.

At first I was like WTF but then I remembered Tajh Boyd played his entire senior year with a torn ATL. Once it's torn it's torn and it's only a risk after the surgery. So basically once the medical professionals cleared him to play if he wanted to he still was told that he may not play much. Deshaun wanted to play b/c he knew his team needed him and that this was his last game with Chad Morris calling his plays (he was close to him & his first recruit signed). If you notice they didn't call any designed QB runs for him and he ran it once just to give the SC defense something to think about. Other than that it was simple QB sneaks on the goal line. For all other QB runs did you notice how our WR & RB took the snaps. They knew SC couldn't generate a pass rush so they felt comfortable letting him play. If you also noticed Watson just sat back...Went through all his progressions and threw it when he could have took off running for big gains several times.

Say what you want but that had recruits coming in saying his performance confirmed that they would go to battle for him any day. You had others saying it was gutsy and showed he would leave it on the field for his team and that was the sign of his greatness.

What I don't agree with is him playing the bowl game. The bowl isn't important and I'd rather lose with Mr. Thanksgiving while he hurry up and get the surgery and rehab, bulk up & improve even more.

Dabo is a fukkin....i don't even know the word to describe him for this move bruh. Don't care if DW, DW's parents, great great great grandparents approve of him playing on that knee against USCe and the bowl game, he's NOT playing if i'm the coach. Where's the damn integrity as a HC? If your back up is doo doo, which he is, you just gotta live with that and accept the fact that YOU did a poor job preparing him.

On the original topic, back in 2007 Oregon was a clear #1 in the country and Dennis Dixon was a shoe-in Heisman candidate when he tore his ACL kicking ASU's ass. They played him the next week against Arizona with a big brace like DW had, he ran a 39-yard TD but then aggravated the injury and had to go out for good. Oregon collapsed and lost the next four without him. (They'd already lost their #2QB, #2 WR, #3WR, #2RB, #1LB, #2LB, and then lost their #3QB right after they lost Dixon.)
