Aight, as a HUGE Myles Garrett fan, I have thought this guy has been a no-brainer #1 pick for about 18 months. I haven't made a mock draft yet that doesn't show this guy not going #1.

But then the film room seasons starts. And the film doesn't lie:

Deshone Kizer is clearly the most skilled, ready-made NFL QB prospect in this draft. And get this:

The kid is just 20 years old (birthday is January 3rd, but fukk it, he's 20 when I typed this lol).

When you watch the tape, the guy's electric arm strength, accuracy and pocket awareness is regularly on display. At his best, he looks like a bigger version of Russell Wilson + Aaron Rodgers.

Watch this video. Kizer makes several special throws, including one where he throws the ball 65 yards in the air... from the pocket... and under duress (4:35):


I mean, this dude has such a natural moxie like he was born to play QB. He throws well down the seams, outside the hashes, over the top... and all with great accuracy and touch.

Making special throws is not as important in the NFL as consistently moving the team down the field. Kizer seems too inaccurate and his mechanics are wonky at times. There are several Qbs, including Cardale and Savage, who can make special throws. That's not enough to start however.

I know breh-breh... you're entitled to bring this up and you'll get plenty of daps for it. But honestly, I started watching tape on this Josh Allen kid after hearing about his arm strength.

In the process I forgot how electric Kizer is on film. Videos like the one I posted reminded me that the thing holding the hype back from this kid is his skin color.

We know how this draft process works. No way a Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky getting hype without a savy organization knowing on film Kizer is better than both.

And I think Cleveland understands this.
