I'd argue that it doesn't, since I doubt many Dem voters actually voted Trump last year. It was more about high turnout among Democratic-leaning voters who didn't vote for Trump anyway (but maybe stayed home or usually don't vote in off-years) than Trump voters actually changing their minds.
The problem is, there seems to be no bottom to how low Trump can sink to his supporters before they admit they made a mistake.
Even Trump doing the same things that Hillary is perceived to have done isn't enough--Trump's Russia ties are becoming more clear by the day, and conservative media in response is pushing #HillaryRussia conspiracy theories--i.e. colluding with Russia isn't bad unless Hillary does it.
You are supporting people denying reality while suffering from the effects of it, like watching a person sinking in quicksand as they assert that they're standing on firm, dry ground. :denzelcmonson:
