I’m just curious cuz I was born here but I see that outside of Downtown there’s no real growth happening and if anything the city is worse than it’s ever been.

That’s real bruh, I see it all the time nobody that got out of the D wants to go back, and it’s so dangerous living there because of the lack of respect for life in the city, a nikka at my old job told me that one of his lil homies killed somebody for saying “excuse me lil nikka in a liquor store” its rough out here and you can see it in the people. There’s and underlying sense of paranoia in everybody cuz anything can happen at any time so people are cautious in their dealings with people. You’re right about infrastructure too, it seems like the powers that be don’t really care about bringing jobs into the city outside of downtown, it’s sad though cuz I used to live here when people were proud to be from Detroit and it wasn’t as bad as it is now

Nah there are entire abandoned blocks up here but for the most part investing in them wouldn’t bring you much because their surrounded by criminal activity. Everybody just puts money into the downtown area because that’s where the profit is but I wanna see the D come back there’s too much talent here for it to be where it currently is and it’s a city with a very unique style, but you should know this already the D fukks with Oakland the strong way, they like Too $hort and E-40 and a lot of y’all rappers sound like Detroit rappers honestly
DETROIT IS DONE AS A WORLD CLASS CITY. THE WEST SIDE NEEDS TO BE SPLIT UP TO THEIR ORIGINAL TOWNSHIPS AND GOVERNING POWER OF RESOURCES EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. MAYBE SPLIT INTO 4-5 BURROUGHS. THAT WOULD OPEN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM UP TO MORE FED FUNDS.
DETROIT HAS TOO MANY PROBLEMS TO ADDRESS AT ONCE. SEPERATE MUNICIPALITIES WOULD ALLOW EACH AREA TO ADDRESS THEIR UNIQUE PROBLEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY WITHOUT HURTING THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
