“I’m Sorry for 2025”
I went down a rabbit hole and it seems this happened again with another clerk in Detroit.

DETROIT – A former gas station clerk convicted of shooting and killing a man will spend decades in a Michigan Correctional Facility.
The shooting happened in 2023 at an ExxonMobil gas station in Detroit on Vernor Highway.
According to authorities, Moad Mohamed Al-Gaham was working as a gas station clerk when he got into an argument with Anthony McNary over beef jerky. McNary reportedly placed the item in his pocket before the clerk confronted him.
Police said Al-Gaham went through McNary’s pockets, took out the beef jerky, and placed it back on the shelf. McNary tried to pay for the beef jerky after the confrontation, but Al-Gaham reportedly refused to accept his money and forced McNary to leave the store.
Al-Gaham then manually locked the entrance, preventing McNary from coming back in.
Surveillance video shows McNary loitering outside the gas station and approaching the door multiple times. At one point, Al-Gaham is seen raising a gun to the window and shooting McNary in the head, killing him.
Police said the gun he used was unlicensed.
Al-Gaham was found guilty of second-degree murder. He was sentenced Friday, June 27, to 20-50 years behind bars.
