Yeah your right. Ive been gone for years so i cant really talk in it,But dudes like Kwame, Ferguson, Conyers, etc took this shyt over the edge. The whole Detroit government is corrupt. Not to mention our schools. That's why you'll never catch me living in Detroit, let alone Michigan again. To easy to get into some bullshyt. Only thing I appreciate about the city is that it gave me the tools to deal with individuals on the streets as well as other areas in life.

I'm not sure breh, like I say I haven't lived in Detroit for years now so I don't have a feel for how the city is moving. One thing I do know is the white folks are coming for it so that may be a sign that it could be a smart investment. I remember in one if my college courses we were discussing how properties in the suburbs were becoming cheap, prompting folks from the city to bail while white folks were coming in buying shyt up. My granny use to live in these buildings off Mack and I-75, and she told me how they were coming in trying to buy shyt up, and this was years ago.
That was always my plan, but I would want to flip, and not rent out. Not tryna deal with nikkas not having my bread, then me having to bang on them. And like I say I haven't lived there so I don't know how the real estate market is.

Detroit cannot even seem to make correct decisions on the easy and small stuff. For instance, they have a wonderful island (Belle Isle) that's been in disrepair for years. Basically, the city of Detroit just cannot afford to upkeep the isle itself. The state of Michigan offered to help the Isle via lease, where they'd possibly turn Belle Isle into a state park, charge $10 per year for entry and make all the necessary improvements needed.

However, Detroit's council didn't like the idea of thinking Belle Isle wouldn't be completely theirs anymore, because they'd be leasing it to the state. The potential savings, had Detroit opted to lease, could have been $6 million per year. Instead, the council bickered, stunted, and stalled until eventually, the state realized it'd be best to remove their offer. Sad...

The new appointed city manager is about to throw all those pension contracts in the bushes. There needs to be an oversight committee over tese city councils and mayors.

that was the straw that broke the camels back...the shyt was disgusting.

It was a NO-BRAINER to let the state do that shyt...$10 per YEAR?! $6 Million...thats a EASY choice...but of course because of the color element and the "white folks taking over", the inept as garbage ass city council...
