That’s right: A 10-foot-tall "DETROIT" sign will be erected between Wyoming and Central avenues along eastbound Interstate 94 as part of the city’s 2024 NFL draft improvement plans.

Jessica Parker, Detroit's deputy chief operations officer, said the project is one of many exciting improvements planned for the city ahead of the draft, which takes place April 25-27 in downtown Detroit.

“It’s going to be like the Hollywood sign, but smaller,” she said. “The letters will look like they are floating on beautiful greenery … and they will light up in Detroit’s colors, green and white.”

The Hollywood sign is 45 feet tall compared to the Detroit sign's projected 10-foot height.

Parker said the signage project also includes new aluminum “Welcome to Detroit” gateway signs along the city’s boundary at:

I-75 and 8 Mile
I-96 and Telegraph
I-94 at Moross Road
Southfield Road at 8 Mile
Southfield Road and Ford Road

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I grew up a few blocks down from I94, my nikka Charles stayed off I94 on the service drive on Chatsworth, 2nd house off the corner. It was a overpass to walk across the freeway right at his block. We used to post up there and drink and smoke when we were teenagers.

Damn man, we did so much bullshyt right there. When we were kids, our dumbasses were throwing bottles and plastic shyt on the freeway, an OG nikka came up fast as hell (the exit is 2 blocks away), whipped around on the one way going the wrong way on the service drive to chase us down. We ran in the house and breh came to the door 😄.

Charles pops was a Navy Seal and had hella guns and dude was talking reckless, we came up front and told the truth though. His pops was damn near ready to kill bro. I think that officially ended that type of reckless behavior. We were like 11-12.

Detroit has a lot of potential

Unfortunately they have been saying that for the past 15-20 years

In my opinion it would take a big corporation to take a chance on Detroit by building a headquarters or a warehouse/manufacturing center to attract high skilled workers. Then everything else will fall in place

How much houses going for out there .. not too far from the city .. and is weed legal / dispensaries ?
nikka we are the California of the East. Houses are expensive ASF right now though, but compared to other places we ain't too bad.

You can get a fixer upper for less than 5 bands but you got 6 months to make it liveable or you lose the property thru this land bank program. That shyt is kinda dope and people from all over the country are grabbing tore up cribs and fixing them up.
