Death Stranding 2 had the best graphics this year hands down.
Not even an honorable mention for Kingdom Come 2???? 
Game had probably half the budget and manpower of most of this list and arguably looks better than all of them. Lmao at Prime 4 pity selection, DF is rapidly approaching

Yes. The game is running well on hardware that is old, and it looks good on high end hardware too. Its a very logical choice for no.1
They'll eventually port it to switch 2 and people will be shocked at how good it looks. That studio is just on another level.

I'm playing the remake of the first Mafia, games like that affirm my opinion that graphics have reach their peak and the next gen should focus more on performance, hell some developers are not even switching engines anymorel, just keep optimizing and adding modern features.

Graphics have hit a ceiling as far as what hardware can produce via pure rasterization, I think. All else is the 3D-tv-style marketing of frame generation and "machine learning" and whatever other trendy catchphrase comes down the pipeline.

A Zenimax game wins?
Watched the full top 3 yesterday and each those games make a very strong argument for best graphics. Not even just visually they're all doing some crazy engine work behind the scenes. The one I've seen with my own eyes is AC: Shadows on the Pro which is insane, but I just copped Doom on sale for $35 so that's gonna be my next game to play
