Rep. Adam Schiff of California as that's Nancy's protege and she's been helping him raise money in preparation for when the seat is up for grabs.
If she dies before the election, then whoever Newsome picks as a temporary replacement will have a leg up on the competition during the next election, which is why you're seeing everyone keeping quiet and hoping that she makes it till next year.

The seat will go Democrat regardless, but everyone has their own person that they want to get it. It’d be easier if she could make it through retirement. It’s only a matter of time though before hitpieces start coming out and they start throwing each other under the bus to gain favor from California citizens.

It does make sense that the more establishment Democrats would prefer someone like Adam Schiff in that seat over somebody like Katie Porter, or even Barbara Lee. I remember Newsom hinting at Lee being his pick if Feinstein ever stepped down. It makes sense for them to wait out her term so he won't have to face an appointed incumbent. I don't think Schiff is going to have it that easy with his prosecutor background. Whatever it is, it's fukked up that most of her colleagues see nothing wrong with her continuing to hold office in such a fragile state.
Some of them are staying on code, but others are making it clear how they feel about the situation even if they don’t state it directly.
I get the thought process behind not wanting her to retire, but it’s bad optics especially when her team is constantly following her around to keep her from talking and that’s not even including the fact that it’s been said she has dementia as well.
