Ok I just thought about this while in the Magic City thread but I remember Hiphop before 2003 when Lil Jon got that crunk shyt popping and made the whole city live. Them west coast cats like Dre, Snoop, Suga Free, DJ Quik etc all them promoted a hard on hoes mentality. It was about keeping it playa with that pimp mentality about not giving broads shyt. East Coast hiphop had a similar mentality but wasn't as HOH as Cali.
Fast Forward ATL blows up and now the culture is bragging about how much you spent in the strip club. Promoting the idea of making it rain, universal phrases like "It ain't tricking if you got it." Throw it in the bag and just tricking in general is cool now. We ain't talking love songs about you and a special lady we just talking random ass hood boogers and tricking on them where 20 years ago that would've got you laughed out the game.
