Did Floyd duck these fighters ?? casual question to the hardcores

I wasn't following boxing hardcore in the 2000s (followed historic fighters or KO artist)


I see repeated on other forums Floyd is accused of ducking the same fighters:

- "Prime" Manny

- Margarito

- "Prime" Cotto

- "Prime" Shane Mosley

- Josh Clottey

- Paul Williams


Did Floyd actually "duck" these fighters or is this just an attempt of Floyd haters to slander his career

again I wasn't following boxing during this time so I like to hear what yall have to say about per fight

It seemed like Shane wasn't looking to fight him when Shane was on fire...odd. Shane was in utter shock he lost to Forrest.

Floyd can fight any version of Manny..he'll always have a defensive answer for him...period. The fight wasn't made earlier because Floyd wanted Manny taking random drug tests..there was resistance to that..as a grown man, you can make your own conclusions

The thing about Margarito..you know better than to think someone with Floyd's speed and gifts would be avoiding Margarito. That's absolute madness:laugh:

I agree with Margarito statement ,, but Floyd detractors love to mention him in the "floyd ducked" discussion

Prime Manny- Politics and fukkery ruined that, but you can still call it a duck for either guy depending on who you stan. remember they had a lawsuit too.

Margarito - lowkey duck, but then promoter fukkery kinda ruined that too.

Prime Cotto - Cotto himself said he wasn't ready. So no duck

Shane - No duck. They honestly fought at the best time for their careers which is when they both got older.

Clottey -No duck. Other side of the street shyt,but Clottey never made himself a name to the point where people wanted to see a Floyd fight

Paul Williams - No duck. Timing was off and the window was only open for a small moment because Quintana upset Paul. Paul got revenge and then moved up. You can't duck somebody who not at your weight.

Amir Khan - No duck, Khan wasn't moving right and tried to finesse big fights with pac n floyd and it would backfire. He'd get upset or look bad in fights whenever a floyd fight seemed possible in the near future. Thats why he eventually settled for the Canelo pay day even though he stood a higher chance of losing badly.

Thurman- not a duck. They could have fought, but its more like a timing thing on this one.

everything I said above is being on some regular objective non stan shyt. Some will agree. Some won't, but it's just how I personally saw shyt play out during the time. Floyd doesn't really have a lot of ducks imo. Meaning as far as fights that realistically could have happened that people wanted to see.

Floyd is older than Manny, how could he duck a prime Manny, when Floyd was in his prime none of these people cared about Manny Pacquaio or wanted that fight he wasn't even on the radar

How did Floyd duck Margarito, when was Margarito in line to fight Floyd, he only got relevant when he beat Cotto, but he got KO'd by old SHane Mosley, so Shane got the fight with Floyd

How did Floyd duck prime Shane, Mosley ducked Prime Floyd, he said he had a toothache

When Floyd was in his prime he was like Boots Ennis right now, he was at the top of the division none of the big names wanted to fight him because it was high risk low reward, floyd was hungry he wanted all the smoke. When he became the cash gow he only fought mega fights he couldn't fight everybody, the problem is canelo can get that position without ever beating any of his peers, that's why he will never have respect and none of the mexicans fighters respect, Marquez, Erik Morales, none of these real legends respect Canelo



Cotto is younger than Floyd how did Floyd duck a prime cotto, they said Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd, plus he was on Top Rank we see till this day bob arum is the problem with these fights

Then he beat Cotto at 154 which was a weight Cotto had the advantage at

Joshua Clottey is a peon, when did he ever deserve a fight with Floyd

Who did Amir Khan beat to get a shot at Floyd, he was never even at 147 until Floyd retired

Paul Williams was never in line to fight Floyd, the only names on his resume was Citrion who is a nobody, and Margarito was a nobody when he had beaten him, Magarito wasn't a somebody until he beat Cotto a fight he wasn't suppose to even win

Also Floyd was retired after beating Ricky Hatton, when he came back Paul Williams was at middleweight, this is just people saying names

I mean they even said Floyd was ducking GGG after beating Manny Pacquaio

shyt is beyond pitiful

Floyd the only fighter that said he beat guys who were too young and too old, even though they older than them
