Did I finesse carmax .....or did they finesse me?

CarMax has this shyt down to a science.

Somehow someway THEY came up and if they haven't yet, they will.

well I sell used cars (disabled at the moment so havent renewed my license) and the game isnt set up for a consumer to finesse anyone

this is how people make money. there's not a whole lot of money in to buying and reselling unless you have a repair shop...then it can get pretty lucrative. just like you have regular dealer auctions, you have salvage auctions. like my man said about the busted transmission...you can scoop up a totaled FX35 for damn near pennies on the dollar and part out the transmission or drop it in vehicle and shyt is just like new.

too many tales to go in to right now but I remember our homie (RIP) and this Filipino dude were working for this dude back in the early 90's. homie was pulling them and dropping them and Filipino was rebuilding. they were supposed to be gettin 500 apiece for each one and they were doing them shyts like hotcakes....but homie said they was playin the Filipino dude cuz he didnt speak no English so I only think they were giving him 250. shop was chargin anywhere from 1500-3500

6K for what I assume is a 2010 or 2011 G37 is a fair price for both sides.

trust me, you didnt finesse them. they just paid you the trade in value for it. it will cost them a lot less to fix it than you. its a win-win for the most part. but why the fukk was it so raggedy? you live up North or in a snowy climate??

I live up north and have never had these issues and I’m on my third car now

I had a 2012 Dodge Charger SE that I sold recently because I didn’t have room for 4 cars after copped my truck. I was trying to sell it privately but nikkas was lowballing me because it got a bunch of cosmetic issues but still ran good. Best offer I got was 4 grand. So I took it to Carmax they gave me 6,500. I got curious about it a few days ago and paid for the CarFax. They had it looking real pretty with paint correction and detail. They flipped that car for 12,400. You ain’t getting over Carmax with nothing. Like the dude said in this thread they got this down to a science.
