man, i remember back in high school where my brother actually brought their first and LAST album when he was stuck in his "real hip hop" phase back in high school. those west coast abstract rappers sucked ass and were running the west coast into the ground after dre 2001 lost steam. :mjlol: actually put the west coast out of business for some years until 50 breathed life into game.

salute to jimmy for giving those nobody's shine because i'm sure a lot of people don't even know shyt about that group. let me find out he's going to resurrect someone like aceyalone or bring skillz on to do a 2014 wrap it up on his show... oh dear.

Blackalious was dope fukk you talking about :comeon:

NO, they weren't. just because they were underground rappers doesn't mean that they were dope. i'm sick of this stupid notion that because some rappers are underground and talking about anything besides guns, women, materialism, the ghetto, violence and etc that makes them respectable or automatically listenable. ughh.com FAILED @ doing that.

i had the misfortune of listening to that broken arrow album back in 2003 that my brother brought and understandably lost it on purpose. that shyt is probably sitting around here migrating from room to room or we probably threw that weed plate in the garbage.

The East Bay
I'm not ashamed of the music I listened to in the backpack era, but I don't listen to a lot of it anymore.
Blackalicious was a group that I can listen to in small doses, and I really didn't check for them after Blazing Arrow.
Like most groups of that era, I am almost always most fond of their earliest material.
The Melodica EP is always be fire to me, especially this joint.

:salute:
