It was (and still is) really easy to make Michael Jackson jokes at the time. Chris Rock shyt on MJ too during his routine.
I don't think Katt regrets what he said, but for what it's worth, he believes Michael was murdered and went after Conrad Murray a couple years after everything went down.

Not only that but collectively we were a lot less sensitive back then. There's a reason why the roast quality has gone down over the years.
I think Deon Cole touched on this too, society is too sensitive to laugh at risqué comedy.
Edit: I’ve seen at least 15 comedian shows and you can tell their pulling back by the audience
I saw Katt Williams when he did his stand up with the presidential background and he didn’t give a fukk!!!! One of the top shows I went to.
