Yes that songs not as powerful with a guest appearance. Imo it’s Pac’s magnum opus. Stretch’s verse is nowhere near as introspective or haunting as Pac’s.

Imma be honest: I've never heard a Stretch verse that I liked or wanted to hear again. He wasn't wack, just always felt like an unnecessary placeholder that could've been another Pac verse.

Imagine if Pac had 3 verses on "Pain."

Everyone saying he did right to take him off but we’ve had that song for 20 years. In reality if that was the first version we heard we woulda loved it the same. Same way no one says ‘damn I wish Stretch wasn’t on Pain’. Nah, bc he, too, makes that song. They were a great duo

Stretch wasn't really a good rapper to begin with imo and leaving his verse would have ruined a great song.
