i remember when he got crowned king of west coast most coli nikkas was dissing him and calling him an industry plant/fraud... :sas1: Now these same nikkas are saying he's top 5 in hip hop right now.:sas2:
The question is does it even matter being an industry plant? All you gotta do is drop some hot single or tape and suddenly everybody forgets about it. The same thing happened with Drake, and i can see it happening with Travis Scott, just watch when Rodeo drops. :youngsabo:

The whole "industry plant" line is so 1990s and has no real relevance today. The phrase comes from a time when rappers had to be "real" and come from a single family, poverty stricken environment, with no college education and at least 2 violent felonies under they belt or else they were somehow a "fake" and a "plant". What the hell is that shyt even supposed to mean?

Chance is super dope imo.. Put a great album out which is filled with positivity..

Also does a alot in the community, he organized a weekly event at his high school which allows kids an outlet to express their creative side instead of aimlessly running around in the streets

So yeah we need more of these so called industry plants

As far as i know it means an artist had industry connections prior possible fame, it's not that they have no talent, its just they didn't have to grind as much as others for success. And people usually rather see the underdog shine...
