I have Moss as the 2nd best receiver of all time.

You can call him a one trick pony, but if that trick works 90% of the damn time then if it aint broke don't fix it. He has the 2nd most number of touchdowns while only playing 14 years compared to Jerry's 20 years for a reason. He also didn't have Montana, Young and Gannon throwing to him. Moss broke records when he finally played with Brady while Randy was already in his 30's. You give Randy the qb's Jerry had and you'd see even more excellence.

Also, can we stop with this lack of work ethic shyt? I swear rhetoric gets treated as fact by some sports fans, you can't be a top receiver years and have a weak work ethic, no way.

I think Mawse would get the better of prime. Speed is even but mawse got those hands and size. Prime wasn't physical enough for 84. The dbs that gave mawse problems like Tilman and Sean Taylor were physical.

By the time Moss came along Deion was in his 30's and battling the turf toe issues. Woulda been nice to see them battle it out in their primes though. Deion woulda been there with him stride for stride but the question is could he have stopped those jump balls?

Can we stop with this narrative that Moss didn't work hard. You don't do what he did at that level for as long as he did it without working hard. Also an underrated part of Moss' game was his intelligence and understanding of the game. Every coach of his has marvelled at his mind. You see that Chad (a pretty nice reciever in his own right) struggled to grasp NE's playbook and Moss picked that shyt up pretty much immediately.

Exactly. Dude may be country, but he is far from dumb. Even though I was riding hard in the early 00's for Big Game Torry **** I never got the knocks on Randy Moss. Anybody that watched that man play knew he was nice. Rice, Moss, and Megatron will end up being the 3 greatest WR's of all time.
