No, Prince had no effect at all on rap music at all. No rappers have every sampled him and any chance of Prince fukking with hiphop was ruined when he and Rick James were beefing and Rick dropped one of the first diss rap records in 1985 against Prince and Prince was like "fukk Hiphop"
