He still in Detroit, hawking hotdogs and doing spot work for WDIV(local NBC Affiliate) but his profile has been significantly reduced since he got up there on the pupil and spoke to the congregation.

Rob Parker is a cornball and a clown himself, but at the time he said this white people had chosen RGIII as "their" QB, meaning that only a white person could tear RGIII down.

I don't think it was so much the cornball comment as it was associating republicans with being cornballs. Right after he said cornball, he said "You know he's a republican" which I think was what really did him in.
And hell no he hasn't recovered from it, just like that fat black dude who used to be on CNN but made gay jokes on twitter. Them rich white folks in charge don't want black men stepping too far out of line otherwise it's TERMINATION and black listed.
