breh, the money wasn’t from dope; he robbed a bank. it was a caper i assume sam jackson’s character assisted in, hence him asking for his cut.

Plus he said ".. everybody knows you hid that money from the robbery". So ol dude robbed a bank, hid the money, got out from prison and sitting there gambling; refusing to pay ya potna back.
