Keep it real...I want a consesus

I would have to say no...he wasn't more "valuable" than a few players in my eyes...both years

HOW MANY TIMES ARE WE GONNA MAKE THIS THREAD?

:what:

this is the first time i've seen this thread

if it was "most outstanding player" instead of "most valuable", then things would have played out different

the criteria for mvp is vague so it's tough to say he didn't deserve them

nash, go to the lakers and ill forgive you

When Nash won his first MVP, it was basically a toss up between him and Shaq. Nash won it because he was basically the only major addition to Phoenix, yet they went from missing the playoffs to best record in the league. Also, he averaged more assists than any player had in years.

His second MVP, he put up even better stats than he did the previous year, while losing their best scorer in Amare for the season, and the team didn't skip a beat. Kobe probably was his biggest competition averaging 35ppg, but they were a 7 seed. Wade and Lebron were only hovering around 50 wins (even though Miami won the chip that year).

Nash was simply a beneficiary of circumstances.

If Rose didn't miss so many games, he would've easily been back-to-back MVP. The problem now is a lot of idiots think he wasn't that important to the Bulls success and didnt deserve it last year because they finished with the best record in league despite him missing over 1/3 of the season.

49ers..Braves..Celtics
This is simple. He won the first one because Phoenix won 62 games while the year before they only won 29.

I guess my question would be.. do people not remember Marbury only playing 30+ games that year? They were in the playoffs the year prior..

At this point, who the fukk cares? Nothing can be done about it.

And I was one of the main ones shytting on voters voting Nash MVP at the time.

And I don't know how some clown said Duncan shoud have won the MVP that season. :childplease: If it was anybody else, it was going to be Shaq; he and Nash were neck-and-neck that season, and had the Heat finished off the season a little bit better O'Neal probably would have won.
