Did the founding fathers set up America and democracy to fail, by purposefully not educating the populace

The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America: A Chronological Paper Trail

Found out about this book, long time ago on the Zo What Show
The reader will find in this book a plethora of information that will leave no doubt in the mind of the serious researcher exactly where the American education system is headed. If we wish to stop this juggernaut toward a socialist-fascist system, then we must restore educational freedom to America. Americans forget that the present government education system started as a Prussian import in the 1840’s–’50’s. It was a system built on Hegel’s belief that the state was “God” walking on earth. The only way to restore educational freedom, and put education back into the hands of parents where it belongs, is to get the federal government, with its coercive policies, out of education. The billions of dollars being spent by the federal government to destroy educational freedom must be halted, and that can only be done by getting American legislators to understand that the American people want to remain a free people, in charge of their own lives and the education of their children.

May 26, 1776

It is certain in theory, that the only moral foundation of government is the [agreement] of the people, but to what an extent shall we carry this principle? Shall we say, that every individual of the community, old and young, male and female, as well as rich and poor, must [agree] to every act of legislation?...

Is it not equally true, that men in general in every society, who [are poor and do not own property], are also [unfamiliar] with public affairs to form a right judgment, and too dependent upon other men to have a will of their own? …Few men, who have no property, have any judgment of their own. They talk and vote as they are directed by some man of property, who has attached their minds to his interest.

Depend upon it, sir, it is dangerous to open [such a] source of controversy and altercation, as would be opened by attempting to [change] the qualifications of voters. There will be no end of it. New claims will arise. Women will demand a vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their rights not enough attended to, and every man, who has not a [dime], will demand an equal voice with any other in all acts of state. It tends to confound and destroy all distinctions, and [surrender] all ranks, to one common level.

Yes, this idea was racist and sexist. National arguments on pollution, climate change, constitution, economics, healthcare, immigration, etc seems to stem from the nation's prerogative to train people for jobs.

But a corporate-socialist-fascist-nazist system?
the government is being shrunk tremendously and corporations are pushing what's left of the government in an anti-worker direction with a decreasing social safety net. if anything, it is technofeudalism where we exist to feed corporations.

Corporations have always pushed government into an anti-worker direction. The only delay in that was during the 50s and 60s when unions were big. AI, to your point, has greatly accelerated that direction.

If corporations are going to be in power then the right corporations need to be in power

Terrible idea :picard:

I went on Wikipedia and apparently the author was an advisor of the Department of Education under Reagan. I think that tells it all :francis:

I think public education is owed to the black activists in the Reconstruction Era who demanded the govt provide it

:manny: america was built on white supremacy... it was bound to fall. they act like america is a melting pot of democracy BUT in it's actions we see it for what it is... the pyramid scheme doesnt last forever... If it was a true melting pot and true democracy then there wouldnt be racism, or bias or hate towards one specific group over others... the american govt would pay reparations without issue. the american govt would stop engaging in overseas wars that puts money in fat cacs pockets while we suffer...
