i know that calling the president 'mr' is a thing my dad used to read the Economist and it was always Mr bush in there

Many publications like the NY Times and Economist have always referred to the president as Mr. (insert name). Dunno if I've heard Fox News hosts call him "Mr. Obama" tho.
