Did this nikka snitch on me?

I was wit this one dude waiting outside these apartments to get picked up. Hes was carrying about 10 or so grams of weed and he gave me a gram so i could wait with him. Long story short cops pullup on us he tosses the bag of weed behind the trashcan.i was a dumbass and kept the lil bit of weed he gave me in my pocket when i should have tossed the shyt. Cops see the weed he tossedbut they didnt kno who it belonged to. So they split us up. They then told me that the dude was snitchin on me sayin that the weed was all mine since i had the gram from the pack still in my pocket. Should i believe the cop? I kno they lie From past experience so im kinda fukkedup here.

Cops will say anything to get you to snitch. One arrest is better than none in their eyes.

Is it illegal to hold a gram where you're from? Did you break any laws?

Please don't give advice on situations like this if you don't know what you're talking about. Do you know how many dope/gun charges are dropped because of constructive possession? If the shyt is not on your person, then the state will have to prove the case based on circumstantial evidence. They have to prove that some shyt was your that's not on your actual possession. In a lot of cases the charges will be dropped, or reduced (if the the defendant is scared enough to even take the deal)

I have had constructive possession charges dropped on me personally. One charge included 2 other people. It was 2 bags of dope literally right by our feet. We got booked, everybody knew better than to say anything. They tried to drag the shyt out, but they ended up dropping the charges. I have also seen some dumb asses in the same situation where somebody was convinced to take the charge, when all they had to do was sit for a couple of weeks and shut the fukk up.

Also, 10 grams of weed is a charge in many states, although it will more than likely be a misdemeanor Depending on how its packaged, you might even get hit with an intent charge. Please don't give faulty legal advice.

i've dealt with pigs on the regular since a young age.

There is a difference between a cop finding something in your general vicinity, and a cop witnessing you drop something on the ground. if they witness you drop it you're in possession. And the majority of cops will lie anyway. They find a bag of dope on the ground they'll say they found it in your pocket. Whether or not they actually saw you touch it.

if what you are saying is true that means every criminal could operate with near impunity. Leave the house with an ounce of dope and two pistols. Cops pull up i'll just drop it right there and beat the charge cuz its only constructive possession right? WRONG. idk who told you that shyt but you're dead wrong.

10 grams is not a charge. Yea if its bagged separately they can technically hit you with the intent to deliver. They can also technically give you a year in jail for walking on someones lawn. Fact is the prosecutors not gonna waste time trying to convict you on some baby charge.
